Rachel M. Thompson

I am a writer, mother, and geek–not necessarily in that order–living just outside of Austin, TX. I write short fiction to maintain my sanity while working on novel length manuscripts, with debatable results. My boys keep me busy, whether I’m refereeing a wrestling match or acting as a human jungle gym. When I’m not buried at the bottom of an endless pile of laundry, I might be found doing something crafty or poking around halfheartedly in the garden. Or possibly debating the relative merits of Batman and Superman with my husband.

Oh yeah, I went there.

On Writing…
Perfectionism is the voice of the oppressor. Perfectionism will ruin your writing, blocking inventiveness and playfulness and life force. Clutter is a wonderfully fertile ground--you can still discover new treasures under all those piles, clean things up, edit things out, fix things, get a grip.~Anne LamottSource: Bird By Bird
